It was a beautiful warm windy day so after school I took Lydia and Austin to fly kites at the local park. It was wonderful to get out and enjoy the March weather.
Austin struggled with the smaller older kites but when he got the large butterfly kite he really got it to go high. I love the feeling you get when you are flying a kite so I try not to pass up a day when kiting is possible! I hope that the kids will remember the time we have spent together flying kites, even if some of the times have been frustrating and some have been successful. I'm grateful for an excuse to play in the sunshine!
