Isn't It Ironic?

Why is that when you finally make a decision about one thing, spend the money on it, that something else breaks down and you have to make an unexpected purchase? Isn't it ironic?
On Friday, last week, after 18 months, we purchased a new dishwasher. Let's just say we wanted it to last for a long time so we decided on an middle to upper range priced dishwasher. Which by the way has not been delivered yet. Which means it's not fullfilling it's purpose. Long story as to why it isn't here yet, but I won't get into that.

In the mean while, the last two days, I have noticed my dryer hasn't been drying. We checked the vents, clean. We checked the fuses, good. Checked on the internet about what we could try nothing worked. We do know that it's not heating. We had to make a decision we were out of clean underwear and you can't wait forever to hang dry if you are down to your last pair. So we went to Home Depot at 8:30 last night and puchased a dryer. Now mind you this time we went cheap. Their scale down model with no bells or whistles. We purchased it and walked out the door with the dryer and Bill installed it. After installation we removed the clothes from the old dryer to the new and it dryed the underwear in one cycle!!!!! So happy!

You may ask why the cheap scaled down model for the dryer (energy hog).

1# Didn't want to go into debt.

2# Saving up for a matching energy efficient washer and dryer when the washer decides to die.
(crossing my fingers that it won't be soon so I have time to save for it) I'm pictured by the set I dream about getting.

3# Didn't want to wait to dry the underwear.

4# Didn't want to spend a fortune at the laundry mat.

There it is. Isn't it Ironic!!!
